final project proposal

For my final project I'm going to do a sculpture about food allergies.

More than 50 million Americans have an allergy of some kind. Food allergies are estimated to affect 4 to 6 percent of children and 4 percent of adults, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

So I learned this on the site of American college of allergy, asthma and immunology, it is a huge amount of people who are suffered from food allergy, for myself I am also suffered from allergy and asthma too. So I decide to make my final project about food allergy. 

In the U.S., there are only eight foods that cause most allergies – peanuts, tree nuts, milk, eggs, wheat, soy, shellfish and fish. Most of the human being are food love, but if someone is allergic to some kind of food, which means they can't enjoy that food in the rest of their life. This is pretty sad. 

For my sculpture, I presume that someone is allergic to peanuts, tree nuts, milk, eggs, wheat, soy, shellfish and fish, and he ate all of them, so the symptoms will show up. At the end this person died. 

Medium: clay, packing of peanuts, tree nuts, milk, eggs, wheat, soy, shellfish and fish product. 

Timeline: week 12 sculpture should has the shape of human

Presentation: it is a funeral of this person who died on food allergy

Challenge: the sculpture might be quit big, so I hope I will have enough time to finish it.
